Legacy giving via your will is a great way to leave a positive legacy for the future. By making a gift in your will to support the work we do you can leave a profound legacy for those using our service in the future.
Leaving a gift in your will, is not only helping a good cause, but can also reduce the amount of tax paid by the rest of your estate so your family can get the most out of their inheritance.
The donation is taken off the value of the estate before inheritance tax is calculated and can reduce your inheritance tax rate, by 10% or more of the estate if left to a registered charity.

We hope that you will consider leaving a legacy to us as a fitting testament of your support for our work.
If you wish to leave a gift (usually called a legacy) you will need to provide your solicitor with the following information:
Name of Charity: North Wealden Community Transport Partnership Ltd Registered Charity Number: 1126292 Address of Charity: NWCTP Registered Address Maresfield Parish Office, Social Club Building, Oakwood Park, High Street, Nutley, TN22 3NA
There are two main types of legacy you might leave us in your will. A residuary legacy and a pecuniary legacy.
This is a gift of the remainder of your estate after all other debts, taxes and specific legacies have been paid.
Wording for a residuary bequest:
"I give my residuary estate to the North Wealden Community Transport at The Byre, Hodore Farm, Parrock Lane, Hartfield, East Sussex, TN7 4AR (registered charity number 1126292) for its charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised officer will be sufficient discharge to my executors."
This is a gift of a fixed sum of money in your will. The value of a pecuniary legacy can change over time due to inflation.
Wording for a pecuniary bequest:
"I give to the North Wealden Community Transport at The Byre, Hodore Farm, Parrock Lane, Hartfield, East Sussex, TN7 4AR (registered charity number 1126292) the sum of £…… (free of all taxes) for its charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or authorised officer will be sufficient discharge to my executor/s."
If you are considering making a legacy gift to Wealdlink, and you are a UK tax payer, you can substantially increase the value of your gift, and benefit our work even more, by making all or part of your gift now. No tax can be reclaimed on a legacy received from an estate, but if you are paying UK tax, a Gift Aid Declaration enables Wealdlink to reclaim tax that you have already paid and therefore increases the value of your gift by 25p in every pound.
